Handless Cannes and the Hand
The background story...
Handless Cannes and the hand is a game about creativity, patience, and cooperation. Two players work together to accomplish goals and solve puzzles in order to traverse the cluttered and dangerous environments.
Our story takes place on the Junkplanet, a distant celestial object made entirely out of trash and space junk. Here live a large population of lobsters and the Junkpeople, a race of small creatures made out of bits and pieces and scraps. The Junkpeople can vary completely in appearance, but always have one thing in common - Junkpeople have no arms or opposable appendages, or any way of manipulating their environment. To make up for this, each Junkperson has a magical device called a “Hand”, a floating object that can have any number of uses and whose appearance is as varied as the Junkpeople’s. The Junkpeople never run out of Hands - Junkpeople have a steady population of 1,000 and fathers will always give up their Hands to their sons before their Recycling (the closest thing Junkpeople know to death). The Junkpeople live a peaceful existence at their corner of the galaxy, using their hands to build small towns, houses, and shrines of worship to He Is Our Lobster God, the one whom they believe gave unto them the gift of Hands. They live their simple lives, staying away from the dangerous Outer Junkpiles and the Middle - the mysterious center of the Junkplanet to which access is taboo.

Our Hero, Cannes
Eight years ago, one junkperson - Käntz - defied tradition and ventured on a solo journey to find the secrets of the Middle. However, he never returned, and his fate became as uncertain as his motives. Now, his son, Cannes, having never received the gift of his father’s hand, has become the unthinkable - handless. He lives a dreary life, unable to alter his environment or interact with anything. Then, one day, his long-estranged father’s hand comes to Cannes with a message - he must come to the Middle and reunite with his father at once! Cannes, nervous but determined, must use his newfound power to traverse the Outer Junkpiles, enter the Middle, and find his long-lost father.
